JOAD Youth Archery Program (Ages 9-20)
The JOAD program is the premier program for young athletes between the ages of 9 and 20 and was developed to provide guidance and training for all young archers. The program provides awards and recognition as the archer moves up through the ranks of proficiency.
The JOAD program generally follows the same shooting and equipment rules as World Archery. JOAD conducts separate regional and national championship tournaments in the disciplines of indoor target and outdoor target archery. A USA Archery youth membership is mandatory for participation in the JOAD achievement programs as well as for competing in regional and national championships. Our JOAD classes are held on various days through the week by skill level indoors. You pay when you register for the classes which are 6 weeks in length. You must progress through the training and pass requirements in order to progress to the next level. Your own equipment is required after a maximum of 12 weeks. We offer assistance in choosing this and the fees associated.
Adult Archery Program (Senior Training Program 21 & up)
Our Adult Archery Program focuses on teaching recurve and compound archery skills to adult archers ages 21 and up. Sessions on Saturdays indoors, and generally last an hour.
We provide the opportunity to try varied equipment upon making a decision that is best suited for the archer.
This program also provides awards as the adult works up the proficiency ladder. The program will help you learn the skills needed for tournament competition or just shooting archery for recreation. You must be a USA Archery member and currently training with our club to be eligible to earn the awards, or to participate in regional and national championships conducted by USA Archery.
