Northern Kentucky JOAD Elite
Northern Kentucky Chapter of the
Junior Olympics Archery Development Program
859-282-6333
The JOAD program is the premier program for young people between the ages of 9 and twenty and was developed to provide guidance and training for all young archers. The program provides awards and recognition as the archer moves up through the ranks of proficiency.
The JOAD program generally follows the same shooting and equipment rules as the National Archery Association (NAA). JOAD conducts separate regional and national championship tournaments in the disciplines of indoor target and outdoor target archery. An NAA youth membership is mandatory for participation in the JOAD awards programs as well as for competing in regional and national championships. Our JOAD classes are held on various days through the week by skill level indoors. All necessary equipment and instruction is included. You only pay when you register for the classes which are 8-weeks in length.
Adult Archery Program (Senior Training Program 18 & up)
Our Adult Archery Program focuses on teaching recurve archery skills to adult archers ages 18 and up. Sessions are held various days through the week indoors, and generally last an hour.
We provide all necessary equipment for recurve archers and the cost is the same as the JOAD program.
This program also provides awards as the student works up the proficiency ladder. The program will help you learn the skills needed for tournament competition or just shooting archery for the fun of it. You must be an NAA member to be eligible to earn the awards, or to participate in regional and national championships conducted by the National Archery Association.
We can also accommodate compound and longbow archers, however you will have to provide your own equipment for those styles.
